Obligato strings are characterised by warm rich tone, which is at the same time focused and powerful. They are capable of a broad dynamic range, and are useful in providing added warmth to an overly bright sounding instrument. This A is made from chromesteel, which gives a brighter sound than the Aluminium wound A option, and is also more resistant to wear from perspiration.
